OPENING CEREMONY
Tuesday October 4, 2011 – 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Plenary Room at Metro West Ballroom
Ceridan

This opening night dinner will see Delegates gather to celebrate the start of an exciting few days. We’ll wander food stations, connecting with others and sampling all the best that Ontario has to offer. Once dinner is complete, the energy picks up as our professional moderator will lead us in Speed Networking: a five-minute networking exercise similar to speed dating! With at least five new contacts in hand, we will then tuck into a decadent dessert buffet while we celebrate and honour the 2011 Canadian Workplace Wellness Pioneer Award recipient, chosen for their outstanding contribution to the field of organizational health.

Since 1997, the Canadian Workplace Wellness Pioneer Awards have recognized professionals from the public and private sectors who have made a difference toward significantly improving the health of the Canadian workplace. The Health Work & Wellness™ Conference proudly hosts this award. The Canadian Workplace Wellness Pioneer Award Committee handles the nomination and adjudication process. The presentation of this award is a highlight of the annual Health Work & Wellness™ Conference. The evening concludes with mingling, and you will depart inspired by the story of the 2011 Pioneer Award Recipient and ready to partake in Conference 2011!

What People Say

“I really appreciated the ability to move through several one hour sessions and take advantage of many topics with expert speakers from the field of organizational health. Not many credible conferences such as this one are available in Canada.” — Wendy Kirkos, Manager, Workplace Wellness and Substance Abuse Prevention Programs – Healthy Lifestyles Division, Regional Municipality of York
