Opening KeynotePower-Up Your Organization’s Thinking with Lynda Curtin
Thursday, September 30, 2010 – 8:15 AM – 9:45 AMHow would you describe the thinking power or your organization or team? Think long and hard about that question. Our opening keynote speaker at Conference 2010 will explore with you four basic shifts in thinking that will help you to Power Up Your Organization or Team’s Thinking:
Shift from: “Frustrating endless discussion and debate” to “Productive parallel thinking.”
Shift from: “We don’t have time to think.” to “We have to stop and think.”
Shift from: “What were we thinking?” to ” What is our thinking?”
Shift from: “Do more with less.” to “Do better with less.”In today’s exceedingly fast paced work environment these thinking shifts are more important than ever. The thinking power of your teams can make or break the success of your organization. As one of only 37 de Bono Thinking Systems Master Trainers/Facilitators in the world, Lynda’s keynote will provide the perfect platform on which to build this year’s theme: “Thinking Organizations…SUCCEED.”
Using methods and tools developed by Dr. Edward de Bono, ranked as one of the world’s top 50 business thinkers, Lynda will explore what it really means to be an innovative business thinker and will share experience gained in working with clients around the world. A Canadian, Lynda is currently based in Glendale, California.

Final Keynote and Conference Closing
Tough Times…Tougher Teams: with Stan Slap
Friday, October 1, 2010 – 2:45 PM – 4:15 PM
Stan’s presentation ignites the glory of accountability, busts the myth that success is out of the control of managers in an uncertain business climate, eliminates the “excuses behaviour” that creeps into organizational culture and provides practical strategic and behavioural steps to ensure success. It is passionate, funny and provocative, but deadly serious and totally twisted, just like the man himself.Stan Slap, president of a consulting company called “slap”, is credited with revolutionizing performance for some of the world’s biggest, smartest and fastest companies. He has directed the successful expansion for companies ranging from Patagonia to Pennzoil, and designed the plan that helped Oracle sell its strategic intent to 40,000 employees in 167 countries. Stan has also developed a number of successful management training programs that have been implemented in more than 70 countries.
